The Peak Design Everyday Backpack 30L is the last backpack you need, and it's on sale

The bag I tested is the 30-liter version, and there's also a smaller 20-liter one, and 30 liters is pretty damn voluminous. You're easily going to be able to throw two sub-full-frame camera bodies into this and three to four zoom lenses (or an entire collection of primes if you mostly shoot fixed, like me). Peak Design claims that you can fit a full-frame DSLR strapped to a mm into this, too, and I believe them, though like other mirrorless converts, it's not something I can easily verify. Using this bag for travel depends on your style and how much you want to bring along with you. Our friend Jon, who we interviewed over in the Pack Hacker Travel Styles section, has used the original Everyday Backpack 30L as a one-bag travel backpack long-term—and it’s worked great for him.

Everyday Case for Pixel 6 Pro
The Everyday Backpack V2 features a newly designed and improved top lid and MagLatch which no longer pops open when the bag is fully loaded right to the top. The hip strap is also really clean, in that it packs up nicely into the side pockets when not in use. But it is kind of a pain to pack it up and adjust it with everything going on in the side pockets. We understand why they did it—hanging hip straps are super annoying—but it isn’t the most convenient system, as the pockets are pulling a lot of duty holding a bunch of straps. The Everyday Backpack is super convenient for anyone who finds themselves needing to go in and out of their pack a lot. Speaking of Ash & Charcoal, those are the two colors offered for the 30L size at the moment.

Travel External Carry Strap
Also rear opening bags are great, I don't like having the elements from the ground being on my back (especially if the area is anything but dry) if I have to set the bag down. I don't think any of us need another cameea bag, especially one this heavy. If you leave the top zipper in place and pull the bottom zipper up to meet it, the side opens more fully. When my current backpack finally fails, I bet I'll get one of these. The logical explanation is that Peak Design gets coverage because they’re aggressive about loaning product to reviewers.
Saw other post of yours- I have seen that triple zip. Not sure it will be good at distributing weight to hips/ legs. The zip pulls can be looped through the bag's attachment points to keep them closed. Enter your information below to be notified when Travel Backpack 30L is back in stock. Everyday Sling
Huge external carry capacity made possible by a versatile tuck-away strap system. Expandable side pockets for water bottles or tripods. Integrated luggage carry makes this bag equally suited for daily commutes and extended travel. Now in its 2nd generation, v2 boasts aesthetic and functional updates based on feedback from thousands of passionate customers.
Straps
They're somewhat more comfortable but the difference isn't huge for this 30L size. The Shimoda was great but sold it after I got the peak design 30L. At 45L and 60L, I think there are better options than PD. Fits all the camera and lenses I need to travel with.
Camera Cube V1 Dividers + Pockets
At the bottom of each side pocket, there’s a drain hole. Now, a drain hole is a nice feature, but we’re surprised that there’s no eyelet or additional reinforcement here. As per usual with Peak Design, there’s a lot of external components hidden in a sleek package.
Thousands of stores worldwide carry our gear.
I have several “good” (even “great”) bags that are super lightweight. However, they will not weather abrasion, misuse and abuse as well as my “heavy duty” (thus “heavy”) bags from GoRuck, Mystery Ranch and Peak Design. Most backpacks I would be looking at are 250+.When the first PD released it was crazy money. I know this bag so well, and it does everything I ask it to do without complaint, why would I want anything else? There simply isn't anything else on the market that is quite like it.
We’ve never really thought about backpack adjustment straps before this bag. They’re usually just sort of “there.” But all of the adjustment straps on this pack are really awesome—nice metal buckles that just work really well. The shoulder straps are ridiculously easy to adjust, probably the slickest system we’ve ever seen on a backpack. You can easily loosen one of the straps and swing the pack in front of you to access side pockets with minimal effort. The Everyday Backpack from Peak Design was originally designed as a camera bag, but we’ve found it to be an incredibly capable backpack for traveling, and especially for the photographer on the go.
When you first look at this bag, you’ll notice that the main compartment has an interesting flap system. It looks just like a traditional “flap over” backpack—but with no zippers or drawstrings. Peak Design has actually developed their own latch system, called the MagLatch™.
Oh, it has one redeeming feature, it accommodates a PD tripod well. I bought those original ones, the the next version. It's fully functional and in good condition after 6+ years (not sure how old is the one exactly), despite laying them on the hiking ground - including on the ice.
Extremely comfortable and quick access to different bodies and lenses. As I said elsewhere, the only weak point is the side zipper. The Everyday Backpack 30L (V2) comes with three of Peak Design’s signature FlexFold dividers. These origami dividers can be put in all kinds of positions so you can fit your lenses, camera bodies, and any other accessories exactly how you want them.
They’ve also improved on the top pouch contained within the laptop access point by providing two smaller pouches for smaller loose items such as coins, keys, or earbuds. Peak Design has still left the rather discrete top inside the pocket, but has made it a tad more accessible, larger, and easier to make use of it. It’s perfect for sunglasses or delicate items that you want to keep separate from the main compartment. The FlexFold dividers are unique to Peak Design and are the most intuitive and creative camera bag dividers I’ve ever come across. You’ll find eight hook points on the Everyday Backpack V2 allowing you to easily carry extra-large or bulkier goods by using a combination of the four included Cord Hook Straps. The Everyday Backpack V2 keeps the multiple super comfortable and conveniently thick side grab handles.
I can take out dividers and add a PD clip to mount my camera while having a bag to fill stuff with while out and about. Fits under the seat on an airplane and in the overhead if I want leg room. Weak points are the side zippers (eventually give out) and the chest strap is fiddly and over-engineered.
We made a whole video comparing the Everyday Backpack V1 and V2, so if you want more nitty-gritty details, make sure to check that out. The Peak Design Everyday Backpack 30L (V2) is packed with thoughtful design details that work well for camera kits, EDC, and minimal travel—in that order. What's it like to use the most thoughtfully designed gear in the world? Brilliant easy-access organizer for tech items and travel essentials. The Everyday Backpack in a visually and functionally simpler form.
